-Meet at West Seattle Runner
Our bi-weekly group runs focus on building healthy base mileage and getting runners incorporated into the local running community. You run at your own pace, and we can provide you with a route for your desired mileage that starts and ends at the shop. While it is not required to run with others, it is easy to find a group/buddy doing a similar run to your own. A great way to stay accountable for your weekly mileage!

Our track group is focused on building speed, strength, form and fortitude. Each week you will receive a planned track workout with a coach available to help guide and encourage you. Looking to bring down your mile time? Chasing down that new personal record? This might be the group for you!

Float Dodger 5k
Imagine running down California Ave SW, a main drag usually reserved for cars. Imagine being cheered by thousands of people, the entire length of the run. Imagine trying to outrun spectacular parade floats of the West Seattle Summer Parade. All of this can be yours at the West Seattle Float Dodger 5K. Finish your run with a root beer float! Join us at the parade viewing and the Ebeer garden party after the race at West Seattle Runner. Beer sales go straight to West Seattle Food Bank.
100% of the proceeds benefits our non-profit, West Seattle Food Bank!

FULL Fit Kick Off
This will be day one of our free group training program for the Seattle Marathon. We have a program for beginner marathoners and more advanced marathoners. The program is free and facilitated by a Level 2 RRCA certified coach and level 1 RRCA certified coach. You will have three group runs per week.

Come for our monthly sports med talk with Lake WA PT and elevate your running, reduce injury risk. The Lake WA PT sports med topic for next Wed the 9th is AMAZING!! Andi Boe, their PT student from Columbia University in NYC, will be presenting on the topic: "Hormone Changes during the Menstrual Cycle on Running Efficiency and Performance".

Hoka Group Demo Run
Come for our Track Tuesday workout and demo a Hoka! We will have the Clifton 9 and the brand new Arahi 8!!! Such great updates to both models, come and see for yourself. You know the run will include goodies too post run at the shop! You don't have to do the track workout, you can just run easy or walk. Zero pressure here, just friends gathering and a chance to try shoes on the run for free!

Global Run Day Group Run with ASICS
Come out and celebrate Global Running Day with a Group Run at West Seattle Runner sponsored by ASICS! You can demo the Kayano 32 on the run if you wish! Tech Rep Melissa, who we all know and love from her time at WSR will bring "Global Running Day bibs" that have a blank space in the middle for folks to fill in with whatever you'd like... Your "Why," favorite distance, what gets you out the door, your running/walking goal, favorite place to run/walk, etc. And, she usually brings us some fun giveaways too! Hope we can celebrate together!
